Mr. B.Gopkumar, MBA

Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

B. Gopkumar is the Managing Director and CEO of Axis AMC, bringing nearly three decades of experience in financial services. Renowned for his expertise in sales, distribution, marketing, and branding, he excels in managing large teams and building digital ecosystems.
Previously, he served as MD and CEO of Axis Securities and held leadership roles at Reliance Securities and Kotak Group.
Gopkumar advocates for technology-driven solutions to empower investors and partners in India's financial landscape.
He has an MBA from Mangalore University and completed the Senior Executive Leadership Programme at Harvard Business School. An avid reader and fitness enthusiast, he is also a passionate marathoner committed to continuous learning and professional development.

Mr. Vishal Dhanesha; CA, B.com

Chief Operating Officer

Vishal Dhanesha joined Axis AMC as Chief Operating Officer in 2024. In this role, he oversees Fund Accounting Operations, R&T Operations, IT, and Information Security across the Mutual Fund, AIF, and PMS businesses.

Vishal is instrumental in shaping and executing the company’s strategic initiatives. Before joining Axis AMC, he was the Head of Operations at SBI Funds Management Limited, where he spent over a decade in various operations and audit roles.

He also worked with Franklin Templeton AMC (2004-2010) and KPMG (2000-2004).

Vishal is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics.

Mr. Hitesh Zaveri, MBA

SVP & Head – Listed Equity Alternatives

Hitesh joined Axis AMC in 2022 as SVP and Head of Listed Equity Alternatives, managing Axis PMS portfolios and relevant Category 3 AIF strategies. With over 25 years in portfolio management, investment banking, and equity research, he previously led investments in the PMS business at Aditya Birla Mutual Fund and held key roles at Enam Asset Management and Edelweiss Capital.

Hitesh's contributions include managing large equity funds, authoring research reports, and executing various M&A, IPO, and restructuring transactions. His research is featured in "Wall Street Research – Past, Present & Future" by Harvard Business School Professors Boris Groysberg and Paul Healy.

Hitesh holds an MBA from Mumbai University and has completed advanced programs at Harvard Business School and The Wharton School. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and advises the Board of the HBS Club of India.
