Mr. Chetan Mehra, PhD
Head – Quantitative Investments
Mr. Mehra is an accomplished data scientist with nearly 20 years of extensive experience in quantitative analysis and trading model development. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a focus on Multi-Agent Systems in Computational Finance from the University of Southampton and an MBA in Finance from the University of Leeds.
His career includes roles such as Derivatives Analyst at Bankers Trust/Deutsche, Investment Manager at Brewin Dolphin and UBS Laing & Cruikshank, and work on Merrill Lynch’s Quantitative Strategy desk. He has also contributed to a Global Macro fund and has experience with Statistical Arbitrage strategies in a proprietary trading environment in India.
Mr. Mehra's expertise includes data structuring, feature selection, and feature engineering tailored for machine learning, based on statistical analysis and data characteristics. His doctoral research centered on using data science techniques to uncover data structures for building intelligent portfolios. He has managed global futures, equity, and multi-asset portfolios, and has trading experience across listed and OTC instruments in all major liquid markets.
Mr. Rishi Sharma
Vice President
Mr. Sharma brings extensive expertise in quantitative analysis, portfolio management, and trading strategies. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
His career includes notable roles at Morgan Stanley, where he developed trade ideas and back-tested strategies, and at Monsoon Capital, where he created and executed quantitative trading strategies. He has also served as head of the systematic trading desk at India Infoline Ltd (IIFL) and managed proprietary and client funds at Ashvattha Advisors LLP.
Mr. Sharma is skilled in setting up investment processes and managing substantial assets, with a strong track record in quantitative finance and a deep understanding of the Indian financial markets.
